
60 years, a long time isn't it.... the 15th of august is yet to come (just a couple of days away) and there is tons of activity happening to welcome this day!
i also happen to come across some old pictures from the net... and here they are...




beautiful isn't it to see people of different thoughts, emotions, beliefs all unite under one sun, the Indian sun!!
as a part of my job i have an opportunity to interact with different people across the globe and its a great feeling when someone says..."oh you are an Indian, that is a wonderful country"! oh you bet it is...
what i really like about this land is the diversity and the way it has embraced change and welcomed new civilizations with open hands!! but i feel it is very important for us to understand that as mush as one feels proud to be an Indian, we should also respect that people from other nationalities feel the same about their countries... i don't think patriotism is measurable! and there is one way saying that we are the most versatile nation!
wishing every one a very happy Independence day!!
