My Friends

..... its been quite a while! last weekend everyone celebrated 'friendship day', a day that has been dedicated to all those people who leave an unconditional impression in others lives! difficult to imagine a world without my friends... but must say i have never been able to call someone as my best friend for i think it really does not exists... if i were to look back i see i dreaded the days when my school life was coming to an end, feared if i will ever come across the same kind of happening friends once again in my life... but must say, at every point i have met so many new people, (sometimes makes me wonder were they come from) who have made an amazing difference in my life!

there are times when they have been a support, a guide, times when they haven't judged me and accepted me the way i'm... shared, cried, walked in the rain, held hands, exchanged smiles, dreamt, thought we will create a better world, made promises that we will find homes next to each other and loads of other things!

it lot more easier for us to make friends when we are children, for then its just friendship that matters and nothing else! i was amazed to see a kid next door argue with her mother and tell her that she will give her life for her friend!

and if you were to really think of it the art of friendship is not really nurtured, people just walk along the road and find each other and after sometime they simply disappear!

i still remember it used to be the most happening this to go out with friends for a party way back in the 90's! i was born and brought up in a small town in tamil nadu, and we had to seek permission from our parents to let them know that we wanted to go out with our school friends... there was this one friendship day when a couple of friends, decided to treat ourselves to some ice cream- arun ice cream- the most happening ice cream shop in our town... its not what we ate, i guess the innocence of the memory is so nostalgic...

so wishing each one of you a "happy friendship day"! and i dedicate this post to all those people who have touched my life in so many way-small ways and i'm sure they will be making a difference in other's life as well! loads of love!
